Samut Restaurant
Samut Restaurant is the perfect dinner spot in Nai Harn. Dimly lit and beautiful Thai style decor, this place is extremely elegant, definitely a little pricey, but worth it for an incredible experience. There are only 5 tables in the restaurant so you must be sure to book ahead but wow, the experience is unbelievable. You will be served a gorgeous 8 course degustation menu with fresh, quality ingredients and so much flavour. Everything is presented spectacularly. If you’re a foodie and a seafood lover (who can handle a little spice), then this place is one of THE spots when you’re wondering where to go in Nai Harn!
Ya Nui Beach
Ya Nui Beach is a beautiful beach that feels tucked away in the middle of the Nai Harn hills. This is a perfect spot for a view of the green grassy hills and the picturesque islands spotted about. Although it can get a little busy in high season, it really does feel like a secret you share with the people who are visiting with you. This bay is a perfect beach for snorkelling with lots of stunning tropical fish and little rocky nooks for interesting sea life to take cover. You can bring your own snorkelling equipment or even rent it from a local vendor.
There are also lots of kayaks and paddle boards to rent, so you can have a fun and active beach visit, exploring the area around the south of the island. If the water is calm, you can even paddle out to Ko Man, the nearest island, and check out the beautiful corals – the big reason why this made our list of where to go in Nai Harn. Or, you can stay firmly seated on the powdery sand, soaking up the sun. Our favourite spot to grab a bite is called, ‘One More Restaurant’ and it’s very local and casual but the food there is absolutely fantastic and flavourful.
Blackrock Viewpoint
This beautiful viewpoint is a little bit of a challenge to get there (aka you definitely need a car or a bike and to be ready for a steep walk) but for those who like adventure, it’s absolutely stunning. Take a little picnic in your bag and don’t forget your water and sunscreen for sure!
This one can be found just off the dirt road that leads to the secret and stunning Nui Beach (well worth an explore too!) Here you’ll see a beautiful forest and get to do a stunning hike uphill to the viewpoint where you can be sure to find gorgeous views of Laem Promthep and Nai Harn beach. If you’re a lover of risk, the sunset here is out of this world. Just be sure to have a torch and your phone with enough battery on it so you can find your way out safely. With so many incredible views, Blackrock Viewpoint is a keeper on this list of where to go in Nai Harn.
