Poached Breakfast Cafe Rawai
Here we go. We’ve found it: the best cafe in Rawai. Poached Breakfast Cafe comes out on top in this ranking simply because we have it all. The view, the vibes, the food, the service and the drinks. And it’s all SO. DARN. GREAT.
Poached Breakfast Cafe Rawai can be found with stellar ocean views of the Rawai waterfront which is full of bobbing little long tail boats, these gorgeous islands dotted about, a peaceful sea and quiet, gentle waves. Our cafe is sat just across the road from this beautiful beach with plenty of seats where you can watch the ocean while enjoying some really fantastic ambience. Chilled music, comfy chairs and air conditioning – what more could you want while you hang out by the sea?
I’ll tell you what more you could want, good food. And let me tell you, Poached Breakfast Cafe Rawai has good food in spades. We’ve got an amazing Melbourne-inspired menu that works just as well here on this little Thai island as it does on the rather behemoth isle of Australia. Tell your grandma, your cousins and your fam that we have all their very favourite Aussie classics like the soft, fragrant, warm banana bread that tastes just like home (or dare I say…even better?).
We’ve got your Aussie staple ham, cheese and tomato toasted jaffle (aka toasted sandwich) on our freshly made bread that we bake in our Chalong bakery. And don’t forget the other classic cafe staple, smashed avo on toast served with blistered tomatoes and perfectly poached eggs. Hubba hubba. Are we the best cafe in Rawai or what?
If you’re wanting to veer away from the usual breakfast choices, don’t worry, we’ve got range. Try our customer favourite pulled pork eggs Benedict. Imagine freshly baked sourdough bread topped with slow cooked pork shoulder, grated green apple for some zestiness (and because pork and apple are only the best combination ever), smothered in rich hollandaise sauce, 2 creamy poached eggs and some pomegranate seeds and mint for a little bit of freshness and ZINGGG! SHA-WINGGG! Delicious, I tell you.
We’ve got a super duper breakfast burrito served with our homemade spicy sausage, eggs, Monterey Jack cheese, smashed avo and a little picante salsa. Ai Yai yaiiii it’s really just so good. Don’t forget to check out our breakfast fritters, bacon and egg sandwich or our big Al’s breakfast which is basically, the perfect fry up to tuck into during a breakfast or brunch.
For you health inspired friends, don’t stress. Like I said, we’ve got RANGE! Check out our healthy breakfast options like our quinoa power bowl, chia pudding with fresh fruit, prana chai fruit parfait and lots more. We’ve even got a new menu item: overnight oats. And they taste amazing as well as keeping you full all day.
If you’re coming to us a little later in the day, we’ve got salads, salads and salads galore. Our feta, roasted pumpkin and quinoa salad is packed full of nutrients and flavour. Or why not try our delicious Cobb salad topped with grilled chicken breast. Whatever your mood, we’ve got the food. With nearly 10 salads to choose from, you’re sure to find something for every craving. Most amazing cafe in Rawai or what?
I’m STILL not done! If you’re hungry for a big beefy burger, we’ve got some amazing burgers, topped with our signature egg and served with a portion of crispy, fat French fries. DROOL. We’ve even got a pretty dang good vegetarian burger that will knock your socks off. We’ve also got a whole range of delicious sandwiches and bagels ranging from our infamous halloumi bagel that just packs in the flavour to our Italian inspired sandwiches with chorizo and sundried tomatoes. Don’t forget to try our pesto and brie sandwich – it’s one of our faves!
It’s all well and good to have a delicious menu but is a cafe really all that if it doesn’t have epic coffees too? It’s not – BUT WE ARE. We serve categorically THE best coffees in the south of Phuket. I triple dog dare you to find a coffee with more smoothness and flavour than ours. Choice medium blend, roasted scientifically to perfection by our coffee partners, degassed for the most accurate amount of time, ground to the most precise size for flavour release and then made into the best cuppa around.
We’ve got every delicious hot coffee you can dream of, some amazing refreshing iced drinks and choices and choices of fresh fruit juices, smoothies and shakes for you to cool down from the Phuket heat. Can a cafe have it all? Hmm…not every one of them but this one CAN! Come on down and check us out, the best cafe in Rawai!

Hommes Pop at Hohiho
This place is pretty good if you ask me. Whilst its not located right on the beach, Hommes Pop at Hohiho DOES have a pool and some very cool tropical home-style decor. With a garden full of cacti and beautiful flowers, it’s worth the visit for sure. They’ve got a great pastry selection of home-made pastries and some really delicious cakes for sale.
If you’re in the mood for Thai food, they serve up some great renditions of all your favourite dishes. They also have a wonderful selection of croissant sandwiches and simple western fare. Don’t forget their drinks – their iced drinks are delicious and full of some really interesting and yummy flavours. Definitely worth a try of this cool cafe in Rawai.
Raga Coffee and Homemade Bakery
Raga Coffee located in the Sai Yuan area is a great cafe in Rawai and well worth a visit or two. Mostly for the vibes if we are honest. They have this wonderful little garden filled with stunning plants, a koi pond filled with beautiful big carp and a rock waterfall so you can hear the relaxing sounds of the trickling falls. They’ve got some delicious waffles, cakes and sweet treats for you to tuck into and they’ve also some lovely breakfast and brunch foods. Don’t forget to try some of their iced coffees to keep you cool while you sit out in the beautiful outdoors of this fantastic little cafe in Rawai.
Lay Cafe
Last, but certainly not least, Lay Cafe is another super sea view cafe in Rawai. This one has a bit more local feels about it but it’s certainly got a killer view. Big windows, wispy curtains and lovely sea views! They’ve got some western food but cooked with a bit of a local twist such as their spaghetti with tom yam sauce and much more. They’ve also got some great pizzas you can try too.
Don’t forget to have a sip of their coffees or teas as you take in the view. Or drink in the ocean scenery while you drink in your Italian soda. It’s definitely more about the vibes than anything else but it’s definitely a really fun cafe in Rawai to visit and grab some snaps for the ‘gram.
