Poached Breakfast Cafe Rawai
No, you can’t go scuba diving here, although that would be fun to try, you can still dive head-first into some delicious food though. We felt that it wouldn’t be fair if we didn’t prepare you for your big day out at sea, with some stomach-filling, flavoursome dishes. Poached Breakfast Cafe Rawai is the only place to start your day, especially if food is involved. Our Aussie-inspired menu is hard to beat and is by far the best brekkie, brunch or lunch that you’ll experience.
We are in the perfect location, especially if you’re looking to go scuba diving in Rawai. Our cafe is only a couple of minutes away from Rawai Pier and Chalong Pier, which is where almost all of the boat tours depart to take you scuba diving. Couple this with our chilled-out vibe and Nordic-style, minimalist decor and you’ve got yourself a winner. Sink into our comfy booths while you get stuck into some mouth-wateringly tasty food.
We can all try to convince ourselves that there’s something better in the morning than a massive fry-up, but there isn’t. If you think otherwise, you might change your mind after stuffing your face with our ‘Big Al’s Brekkie’. We load the plate with a generous serving of the best brekkie flavours. Our meaty, succulent chorizo is served with crispy bacon slices, hash browns with a crunch, sautéed mushrooms, eggs done your way and a fresh tomato bush relish to add that all-important zing. It’s a breakfast for champions!
We’ve got something for everyone, which means we’ve got the veggie-lovers covered too. The ‘Sweet Potato and Zucchini Fritters’ are unbelievably popular with our customers, and why wouldn’t they be? They’ve got the ultimate crisp crunch on the outside while being fluffy and light on the inside. They’re topped with some sweet tomato chutney, a rich and creamy poached egg and some buttery smashed avocado. That’s seriously top-class, don’t you think?
Don’t forget about our signature ‘Pulled Pork Eggs Benny’. If we had a penny for every gasp a customer made when tasting this combo flavours exploding in their mouth, we’d be very rich. We are, however, rich in love and that’s all that matters, right? Our crummy homemade sourdough is topped with some tender, slow-cooked pulled pork shoulder; it falls apart at the touch. We combine this with two runny poached eggs, crunchy apple and pomegranate that bursts with each bite. It’s all caped in some amazing, velvety apple cider hollandaise. Mmmmmmm, this is totally a licking-lips moment.
We’ve got something for every and any occasion at our cafe and that includes drinks. If you want a refreshing fruit juice or smoothie, we have over 15 types of mixtures that we offer. They’re all made with the freshest local fruits that taste incredible. Most importantly though, our menu is loaded with different types of coffee and tea too. So, you can get that all-important morning caffeine buzz on at our cafe.
You’ll certainly be ready and raring to go once you’ve had some food and drink with us. Surely that’s the most important thing if you’re going scuba diving in Rawai. You don’t want to be stranded out at sea and starving!
Racha Yai
Racha Yai is one of the most popular locations for people to go scuba diving in Rawai. The waters are really clear, which gives great visibility, the corals are huge and there’s a tonne of marine life to see. It’s only a few hours on a boat to the islands. We’d recommend booking a day trip here. There are multiple different dive sites that the boat tour will take you to, so it doesn’t get boring at all. This is a really good place for all levels of divers too.
Racha Noi
Racha Noi is just around 45 minutes away from Racha Yai. You can either visit here alone or pair it with Racha Yai. This place is for divers with a little more experience as the waters get a lot deeper here; around 70 metres deep. If you’ve been scuba diving in Rawai before then you’ll know that you need to be skilled to go that deep; no one wants their lungs exploding! With the deeper water comes bigger marine life and massive corals. The views are magnificent and it’s definitely worth visiting.
Koh Phi Phi
The depth of the waters changes all around Koh Phi Phi, meaning it’s a great place for all skill levels of divers to come. Below the massive limestone formations is vast marine life that you won’t want to miss out on. Ph Phi isn’t on this list just for the scuba diving in Rawai experience though. This is a place that you should come for a few days at least. It’s a beautiful little jungle island with landscapes that are out of this world.
Where is Our Favourite Location to Go Scuba Diving in Rawai?
There are so many places you can go scuba diving in Rawai. Our favourite places though are both Racha islands. We would suggest taking a boat trip that goes to both islands in one day. It’ll be an experience that you’ll remember forever. Although the islands can get a little busy, when you’re under the water that doesn’t matter in the slightest.
One thing is for sure though, wherever you decide to go for the day, you need to come to Poached Breakfast Cafe Rawai first. You can’t start your day off any better way. Diving into our yummy food and sipping on some refreshing drinks is the perfect way to spend your morning. So, come on down and treat yourself, you deserve it.
